Regenit tablets is de merknaam van Esco Salt, onderdeel van de Kali&Salz groep, een van de grootste Duitse leverancier van zout. Toch wordt Regenit in Harlingen (Nederland) gefabriceerd. Het is gemaakt van het zeer zuivere vacuumzout. Vacuumzout wordt onder hoge druk geperst en ontwikkeld. Regenit tabletten hebben een zeer hoge zuiverheid (%NaCl > 99.9%).Regenit Tabletten zijn allemaal indentiek en hebben een mooie rond vorm. Regenit Tablets zijn toepasbaar in vrijwel alle onthardingsapparatuur.

Regenit tablets and compacted salt costs of high-purity, completely soluble vacuum salt and are ideal for use in water softening plants with ion exchanger Hard water leads to problematic limescale deposits as it contains dissolved alkaline earths (calcium and magnesium). This disadvantage is particularly evident when the water is heated.
All ion exchangers work according to the same principle: The hard water flows past lots of small balls made of synthetic resin and deposits the limescale-forming calcium and magnesium ions there. To regenerate the resin, diluted sodium brine is fed through the ion exchange medium, so that the calcium and magnesium ions are displaced and replaced by sodium ions. Then the ion exchanger is rinsed and it is ready for use again.
